Sony Handycam CCD-F201.

The Sony Handycam CCD-F201 is a 8mm video cassette camera from the late 1980s. Read below to see the technical notes

  • Initial notes;

    • batteries take a charge and camera turns on with batteries.

    • Viewfinder has a lot of static. Only shows white, blue, and black lines with no discernible image.

    • Body itself is in good condition. No chips, dents, or visible damage.

    • Missing diopter. Needs a replacement.

    • Cassette both ejects and recognizes that a new cassette has been inserted.

    Next steps:

    • replace the capacitors on the board to fix the viewfinder.

    • Clean any old hardware.
